In this free public talk, Dr Sara Read will discuss how archival research, both online and offline, can help you track your ancestors and map your family tree.

Sara Read is a lecturer with Loughborough University’s English and Drama department and the author of ‘Maids, Wives, Widows: Exploring Early Modern Women’s Lives, 1540 – 1740’ (copies of which will be available to buy on the night).  She’s delivered talks at festivals, heritage events and on BBC radio, and is a regular contributor to history magazines such as Discover Your Ancestors and History Today.
