An event organised by Leicestershire Historic Churches Trust to raise funds for its work.
Gardens will be on view at:
Pine House, LE7 4XE and Parkside, 6 Park Hill, LE7 4WH
by kind permission of Mr & Mrs Timothy Millward and Mr & Mrs David Wyrko.
There is also the opportunity to spend time in the architecturally fascinating St Luke’s Parish Church, included in National Trust chairman Simon Jenkins’ list of the thousand best churches, where you can …
- enjoy a display commemorating the bi-centenary year of the Battle of Waterloo;
- marvel at the life-size Victorian memorial to Waterloo veteran Col Edward Cheney of the Scots Greys, astride his dying horse.
Combined entrance to both gardens is £5 per person, with children of 12 years and under free
Tea/coffee/squash and a slice of cake is £2.00.
Please note that dogs are not permitted in the gardens.
