‘THEY whose names are here recorded were numbered among those who at the call of King and country left all that was dear to them, endured hardness, faced danger, and finally passed out of sight of men by the path of duty and self-sacrifice, giving up their lives that others might live in freedom.‘

Loughborough Roll of Honour is a website run by volunteers which records the names of service personnel from the local area who lost their lives in military conflicts around the world.

It is an excellent resource for family history research and is updated regularly.
